| Llandudno Tour 2006 “Wouldn’t it be great to get Stipers’ on tour. It would be a laugh.” …. and the rest is history. March 2006 marked Stiperstones Brass’ first International Tour. To Wales! Just one weekend was spent in Llandudno but I think it is fair to say that we left our mark. I suspect the old lady knitting in the hotel next door will not forget the first band practice starting at 9:30 on the Friday evening. The main Saturday event was a concert at Queen Elizabeth Court Masonic Benevolent Home, where the band was enjoyed by a very appreciative audience. This was only to be topped by playing in Bodnant Gardens Garden Centre, underneath a canopy which kept the most torrential rainstorm since Christmas from drowning the band. For some reason, the audience was smaller and less enthusiastic at this gig! |
